The “George Best Stylo Matchmakers” were of course endorsed by George Best in the late 1960’s after he signed with Stylo in 1968.
This particular pair is part of a private Manchester collection and has lost its laces, but the printed signature remains.
They have been worn and there is mud residue still on the soles. Today you can see these and what’s left a small old original Stylo Matchmakers collection, in the National Football Museum, Manchester.
Although in 2018, this nostalgic, stylish piece of British history was brought back to market, the George Best Stylo Matchmakers are back.
